A piper airplane and a b737 aircraft cross each other at different altitudes, traveling? - piper aircraft
in opposite directions, B737 moves 5 times the speed of the glass shards. If 4 hours are 2160 miles away to find the speed of each aircraft.

If you are 0 for miles and 4 hours later, they are 2160 miles away. Let x be the speed of Piper is x, then the speed of the B737 will be 5x. So far apart, the speed increased. Therefore:
D = RT
==> 2160 = (5x + x) (4)
==> 2160 = (6x) (4)
==> 24x = 2160
==> X = 90
Then Piper speed of 90 mph and the speed of 737 is 5 (90) = 450 mph
I hope that helps!
